Florelie Pirouette twirls into bloom with all the elegance of its name. Each flower opens in soft, ballet-inspired tones—cool pinks, gentle mauves, and creamy undertones that swirl together in a perfec gradient. The petals curl and twist with a delicate lift, giving every bloom a sense of movement, like a dancer mid-spin.
Full, and wonderfully feminine, Florelie Pirouette is a reliable producer with long stems and beautifully shaped flowers ideal for arranging. In the garden, she brings a light, romantic energy; in the vase, she adds a touch of airy sophistication to any palette.

For the 2026 season, we're offering potted dahlia plants rather than traditional cuttings. These well-rooted, healthy young plants are grown with care right here at the farm and will arrive ready to thrive. This switch allows us to offer stronger, more established plants that transition seamlessly into your garden.
Care & Growing
Care & Growing
Site: full sun
Planting depth: 4-6 in
Plant spacing: 12-18 in
Pinch: 12 inches
Days to maturity: 90 to 115 days
Care: when cuttings arrive, remove from packaging. Place in an area out of direct sunlight for a day or two. On the second day, cuttings can be placed under grow lights. Water gently if soil is dry. After a few days, cuttings can be moved to a greenhouse to harden off before planting.
Planting: plant once soil has warmed up in late spring. Plant at a depth of 4 to 6 inches, planting two leaf nodes below the soil. Dahlias need space to develop, plant 12 to 18 inches apart. Pinch plants once they've reached 12 inches tall to encourage branching and more blooms. Fertilize regularly throughout the season.
Harvesting: cut when blooms are almost fully open, about 3/4 of the way and before petals at the back become papery. Cut deep to encourage taller stems. Dahlias have a vase life of 5 days with daily water change and when kept away from sunlight.
Every dahlia cutting purchase comes with a detailed care & planting instruction card from our farm.
