Care & Growing

Choose a location with well-draining soil and plenty of sun. Plant bulbs in the fall before the ground freezes. Dig a hole about three times the depth of the bulb, place the bulb pointy-end up, and space them 2-4 inches apart. After covering with soil and firming it down, water thoroughly and wait for spring blooms.

Harvesting

To harvest tulips for cut flowers, pull the entire plant from the ground (including bulb) when the buds have colour but are still tightly closed. Trim the bulb, remove lower leaves, and place directly in water.
