Harvesting
Delphiniums should be harvested for cut flowers when the bottom third to half of the florets on the main stem are open. This ensures a longer vase life and allows the remaining buds to open gradually.
For drying, delphiniums should be harvested when the bottom two-thirds of the blossoms on the stem are open, and the top third is still closed or just beginning to open. This ensures that the more mature blossoms don't fall off during the drying process.
