Growing
Ranunculus are cool-season bloomers that thrive when planted in early spring (in colder climates) or fall (in milder zones).
Soak corms for 4 to 6 hours until they become plump. Place corms claws down in a tray with damp potting mix. Place trays on growing racks and mist occasionally if soil becomes dry. After 1 to 2 weeks, roots will begin to grow. Corms can be left under grow lights until planting or can be transplanted outdoors. Plant 4 to 6 inches apart, frost protection may be required.

Every ranunculus purchase comes with detailed planting and growing instruction card from our farm.
Harvesting
Ranunculus should be harvested when the buds are showing colour and are soft and squishy like a marshmallow, but not yet fully open. This stage ensures the longest vase life of up to two weeks. If the blooms are already open, they can still be cut for use, but they will be more fragile and have a shorter vase life. Harvest early in the morning or late in the evening when the flowers are most hydrated.
