Start seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost, sow on the surface of moist soil, light is needed for germination. Cover seeds with a thin layer of vermiculite to retain moisture and hold seeds in place. Transplant outdoors after the danger of frost has passed.
Harvesting
Pick when the majority of the tiny blossoms on the cluster are fully open and firm, but before they turn brown or drop pollen.
For drying: choose plants with fully open, vibrant, and undamaged flower heads. Hang the bundles upside down in a warm, dark, and well-ventilated space until the stems snap easily.
